| 1947 | A businessman named Harold J Silver, got a contract to sell 2000 to 3000 tractors to Argentina. The problem was that Silver not only didn't have the tractors built, he didn't even have a factory to build them in. |
| 1948 | Silver hired Robert Yonash to design and manufacture these tractors. They had a delivery date due at the end of the year. Silver created the Intercontinental Manufacturing Company. short on time the tractor would be built mostly from existing market parts. Such as Continental motor's, Timken axles. Silver established a contract with TemCo , out of Texas, to use for the manufacturing plant. Production of the Intercontinental C-26 was in full swing. |
| 1949 | Somehow Silver had managed to deliver the tractors on time and Intercontinental was up and running. The DF model was now introduced. This was mostly a Buda 4BD-153 diesel powered C-26. |
| 1950's | Intercontinental established sale in Brazil, Mexico,India and Argentina. They also got into Government contracts. |
| 1955 | Silver sell's Intercontinental. A series of owners follow. |
| 1988 | The Datron Company purchases the company and owns it still. |
