I'm a very BIG fan of the Minnesota Vikings. I have followed the wins and losses since 1969. I have been through their 4 super bowl losses and I'm still hanging in there hoping for them to bring the super bowl trophy home! I live in the country of the cheeseheads (that's the nickname for all the Packer fans) and really get teased for my taste in teams. Win or lose I'll be a fan of the "Vikes" for life. This is a means for the Viking players, coaches, staff and their families, to focus their community support. Their mission is to combine their time and resources with that of the corporate community needs of the children. Since 1978 these groups have come together to support over 100 child-related nonprofit organizations in the Upper Midwest and Viking Children's Fund grant awards now over three million dollars. They put on many fund-raising events and joining the team in this endeavor is Vikadontis Rex, the Viking Children's Fund official mascot.
