If you’re going to be competitive in today’s job market you’re going to need training and education.  The Air Force can help you get both.  You’ll get hands-on experience, earn a salary while you are learning, and you may qualify for an enlistment bonus up to $14,000.

We offer training in more than 150 technical specialties.  Most of our occupations use the same skills you would need in a civilian job.  And, your training courses will count as college credit toward an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force.

If the Air Force job you have requires certification or licensure, we’ll help you earn it.  Plus, certifications and licenses are transferable to civilian jobs such as emergency medical technician, electrician and medical lab technician.

If you want a four-year degree, the Montgomery G.I. Bill will help pay for it.  Take a reduced salary your first year on active duty—$100.00 less a month—and after two years of honorable active duty service you’ll have more than $29,000 for educational expenses.

If you take college courses during your off-duty time, the Air Force will pay up to 75 percent of your tuition expenses.  Plus, base education offices offer free College Level Examination Program tests.  If you pass the test, many colleges and universities will give you credit for specified courses.

The Air Force offers other benefits too.  You’ll get good starting pay with regular raises.  Also, you’ll get tax-free clothing, food and housing allowances.  Plus we offer comprehensive medical and dental care.  And, we have reduced prices at our on-base grocery and department stores.

There’s plenty to do during off-duty time as well.  We have bowling centers, auto hobby shops, gymnasiums, golf courses, social clubs and more.  In addition, you’ll get 30 days of vacation with pay each year.

As you successfully meet challenges your self-confidence increases.  And you’ll have the satisfaction of seeing your hard work rewarded as you advance in rank.  Best of all, you’ll be part of a terrific Air Force team proudly serving our country.

You’ve probably given lots of thought to getting out on your own—maybe you’ve even tried it.  But a good-paying job may be the biggest barrier you face in gaining independence.

Be a member of the world’s best aerospace team and serve your country with pride.
