M&SC Club layout updates:

Section:

The main line is nearing completion!! Switches are being placed on the main line where sidings and spurs will be located. But track work will be not be on the sidings or spurs until the main is up and running. The goal is to have the main line operational for the Club's show in April.

Signals:

Holes have been drilled in the benchwork for the main bus that will run around the layout. Digi Trax has been installed in its new home and wiring is in the works.

Benchwork:

All major sections of the bendhwork are now complete. Only the two lift out section remain on the list of things to build.

Diary:

Club members can now keep up with what goes on if they can't make it to a meeting. The M-SC E-group has added a diary section where the club will post a "what went on". It is a good way for all of us to see how much we get done over time. Reminder: This E-group is for members only. You must fill out your profile on E-groups in order for the moderator to know who you are and insure that you can take part in the E-group.

The new layout scheme:

· The bottom level will be dedicated to the Milwaukee Road’s line from Stiles, WI to Crivitz, WI including the branch line into Marinette, WI

· The top level will be dedicated to the Chicago & Northwestern’s line from Oconto, WI to Peshtigo, WI

· Only the "flavor" of the above areas will be modeled. We won’t be trying to build a "board for board" of Oconto.

· Time frame will remain the 1950’s (steam and diesel)
